Nuno Barradas, researcher of C2TN, received a diploma and a badge as a EPJ Distinguished Referee in 2016 in recognition of his great assistance and commitment to the quality of scientific publishing of the "European Physical Journal" (www.epj.org).

Nuno Barradas, researcher of C2TN, received the Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing in recognition of the contributions made to the quality of the "Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, B" Journal (Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
M. Isabel Dias, researcher of C2TN, received the Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing in recognition of the contributions made to the quality of the "Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports" (Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
Salvatore Di Maria, researcher of C2TN, received the Certificate of Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing in recognition of the contributions made to the quality of the "European Journal of Medical Physics" (Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
Vincent Debut, researcher of C2TN, is involved in a prize winning collaborative project: "Singing bronze: material sciences and acoustic engineering advanced techniques toward the preservation of the Mafra carillon bells". Most cited article in the last two years of the "Physica Scripta journal"
The article "Surface analysis of tiles and samples exposed to the first JET campaigns with the ITER-like wall", JP Coad, E. Alves, NP Barradas, A. Baron-Wiechec, N. Catarino, K. Heinola, J. Likonen, M. Mayer, GF Matthews, P. Petersson, A. Widdowson, Physica Scripta T159 (2014) 014012, co-authored by C2TN members, is one of the most cited articles in the last two years of the prestigious Physica Scripta journal, published by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

The IAEA has published online at Neutron/IBA Case Studies a set of 20 case studies about the use of neutrons and accelerators to solve problems of societal relevance. Three of these studies were based on the work of C2TN researchers. 1) Rescuing ancient glazed tiles using neutron tomography (Isabel Prudêncio et al.); 2) The air that we breathe (Marta Almeida et al.); 3) Alloying Kinetics in Contact Metallization for CMOS (Nuno Barradas et al.) These report recognize and reward the merit of C2TN Researchers Nuno Barradas, Marta Almeida and Isabel Prudêncio.
Pedro Vaz, Researcher of C2TN was invited and became a member of the Editorial Board of the "European Journal of Radiology" (ELSEVIER).
Official Cover of the Book "Food_Irradiation Technologies", currently in print, with the seal of the Royal Society of Chemistry, which prestige us. One of the authors is Sandra Cabo Verde, researcher of C2TN, and the theme of the book focuses on ionizing radiation technologies, one of the areas of unique competence in the national scientific system, installed in this Campus. Congratulations to Sandra!

João Carlos Bentes Waerenborgh, researcher of C2TN of Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, was elected member representative of Portugal in the International Board on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (IBAME), by the active Mössbauer spectroscopists in Portugal. As defined in its constitution the objectives of IBAME are to advance the diffusion of knowledge in the field of the Mössbauer Effect and its applications, to promote the activities of the international community in this interdisciplinary field of basic and applied research, to attempt the harmonization of venues and dates of the various international and continental Mössbauer conferences in order to avoid duplications, and to encourage the participation of young research workers and research workers of weak resource countries. Furthermore IBAME elaborates recommendations for the nomenclature to be used in publications on results achieved by using Mössbauer spectroscopy.
