C2TN and CITUA researchers are teaming up to enhance knowledge environments and foster proactive climate action! Through the H2020 project ECF4CLIM, we’re empowering students, educators, and the wider community to embrace ‘citizen science’ and make a real impact in combating climate change.
One incredible initiative we’re part of is collaborating with Camarate Basic School to develop a vibrant school garden! Working hand in hand with the school community, Loures Municipality, and Camarate, Unhos and Apelação Parish, we’re creating a space that will serve as an outdoor classroom, a home for a variety of plants and animals, and a sanctuary for learning and growth.
This garden isn’t just about beautifying the school’s campus – it’s about deepening the connection to nature and instilling in students a sense of care and respect for the environment. By immersing themselves in the natural world, they’re nurturing the next generation of eco-conscious leaders and making strides toward a more sustainable future.
