António Pereira Gonçalves, a researcher and professor at C2TN – Instituto Superior Técnico, will be the next Vice-President of the European Thermoelectric Society (ETS), the European contact point and exchange platform for industry and science regarding any thermoelectric question.
The ETS bodies are the General Assembly, which includes all the members, and the ETS Board, which directs and controls the activities of the society and includes the Extended Committee and the Executive Committee (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer). The Board is elected by the General Assembly and elects the Executive Committee for a term of three years.
It is the first time that a Portuguese member become Vice-President of this prestigious society.
