Reducing the energy footprint in schools and helping to change behaviors in school communities was the objective of ClimACT project. This European project, financed through the Interreg Sudoe program (which supports transnational projects in Southwest European countries), was carried out in Portugal, Spain, France and Gibraltar and distinguished, by the European Commission, in the EU Sustainable Energy Awards in the Innovation category and Youth, within the scope of European Sustainable Energy Week. Based in Lisbon, the project was coordinated by Marta Almeida, researcher at C2TN/ IST, and ended on June 30th. From now on, it is up to schools to continue the change that ClimACT started.
