Best Student Presentation Awarded to C2TN PhD student Cristiana Rodrigues

During the 24th International Conference on Solid Compounds of Transition Elements (SCTE2024) held in Prague (Czech Republic) from June 17-21, Cristiana Rodrigues, PhD student of C2TN and LIP, won the Best Student Presentation award for her contribution entitled “Elevating Cancer Treatment with Advanced Dosimeters and Crystal Precision”.

Her work focuses on the development of cutting-edge passive dosimeters that are able to achieve microscale sensitivity and improve such description. Flux composition (Li2O–MoO3) and process optimizations led to the successful growth of high-quality 5 mm size undoped and doped corundum (Al2O3) single crystals with good luminescent properties.
