Bruno Oliveira, João Galamba Correia and Rita Melo, researchers at C2TN – Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares, Instituto Superior Técnico, are collaborating with David Baker, one of the recent Nobel laureates in Chemistry, on the ‘DenovoTherapies’ project, the aim of which is to explore the potential of mini-proteins designed in Baker’s laboratory for targeted systemic radiotherapy of cancer in pre-clinical studies.
In an interview with TSF – Rádio Notícias, Rita Melo said that the award of the Nobel Prize recognises the importance and relevance of computational chemistry and structural biology in modern science and medicine.
