Erasmus+ Mobility Programme

Urszula Gryczka, Researcher from Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT, Poland) visited C2TN under the Erasmus+ Programme in May 2023 and worked in Laboratory of Technological Assays in Clean Rooms. This visit, in the scope of IAEA Coordinated Research Project D61025 – Innovating Radiation Processing of Food with Low Energy Beams from Machine Sources, intended to evaluate the effect of electron-beam radiation on the bioactive properties of strawberries and cherry tomatoes. The work developed allowed to understand the potential of this technology in improving the quality of these fruits, also promoting the development of natural ingredients that can be used for food functionalization.
